Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band have a debut album and some tour dates

Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band have released their debut album Safe As Milk, recorded in Los Angeles during spring.

The band were scheduled to play at the Monterey Pop Festival in June, but cancelled at the last minute due to guitarist Ry Cooder's sudden departure from the band, just ahead of the festival.

In support of Safe As Milk, Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band have announced a number of upcoming tour dates, including a show with The Doors on September 30th.

September 29th - Denver, CO

September 30th - Denver, CO (Supporting The Doors)

October 6th - Hollywood, CA
