Never a more soulful voice has been heard, and it comes across perfectly on this amazing track. John Lee carved out his own unique take on the blues and crooned in a way that every other bluesman, aside from maybe Howlin' Wolf, had to be envious of.

I think it was Dylan who said that he met John Lee and was surprised that it wasn't a 7 foot tall black man standing in front of him, instead he was greeted by a short and frail man in dark glasses. When you hear gravel and soul like on 'Boom Boom' it's easy to know exactly what Bobby was talking about.
