November, 1965 - American rock band The Leaves released their cover of "Hey Joe, Where You Gonna Go?" on the Mira record label. The origins of "Hey Joe" are disputed; however, Billy Roberts is generally credited as the original song-writer.

"Hey Joe, Where You Gonna Go?" was the second single from The Leaves, following their release of a cover of Bob Dylan's "Love Minus Zero/No-Limit".

The song has been adapted and recorded hundreds of times since The Leaves released their version, most famously by The Jimi Hendrix Experience in late 1966.
