Eric Andersen's tribute to J.C.B.

In June 1965, twenty-two-year-old folksinger Eric Andersen released his debut album, Today Is The Highway, on the Vanguard record label.

Track eleven from the album, "Song To J.C.B.", was Andersen's tribute to blues singer J.C. Buriss, who played in the streets and alleys of the San Fransisco Bay area. After spending some time in prison, J.C.B. was taken in by Andersen for a few months.
