Janis Joplin has released her first studio album since leaving Big Brother and the Holding Company last year. I Got Dem Ol' Kozmic Blues Again Mama! is the 26-year-old's first solo album.
The album was recorded over 10 days in June at Columbia Records Studios in New York City. Whilst most of the album is comprised of cover songs, Joplin wrote two of the tracks: "One Good Man" and "Kozmic Blues."
