Jefferson Airplane, Joni Mitchell and David Crosby appear on Dick Cavett the day after Woodstock

Looking a little dishevelled, several artists from Woodstock made a television appearance to discuss the festival

August 30th, 1969: The day after Woodstock last week several of the performers showed up looking a little worse for wear on The Dick Cavett Show. Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Jefferson Airplane appeared on the show to discuss the festival and to perform some songs. Joni Mitchell didn't actually attend the festival as she knew she was booked to be on the Dick Cavett Show and was worried she would miss it due to the traffic leaving Woodstock.

Watch below as the group discuss Woodstock. Stephen Stills was still wearing his muddy clothes from the day before.

Watch below Joni Mitchell performing the as yet unreleased songs, "Willy" and "For Free".

Here is Jefferson Airplane performing "Volunteers" the title track from their upcoming fifth studio album.

Below Stephen Stills performs "4 + 20".
