Johnny Cash arrested again...

October 5th, 1965 - Johnny Cash was arrested crossing the Mexican border to El Paso, Texas. Cash had been in Juarez purchasing cheap amphetamines to bring back to America. Customs officials reportedly found 668 Dexadrine and 475 Equanil tablets in Cash's guitar case.

This was Cash's second arrest in 1965, after being locked up overnight in May for public drunkenness in Starkville, MS.

In between his arrests, Cash had been keeping busy in the recording studio. By October 1965 he had already released two studio albums. Read a review of his 1965 album, Orange Blossom Special here.
