Listen: Dylan goes back into New York studio with The Band

October 5th, 1965 - Only a month since the release of Highway 61 Revisited and six weeks after his first electric concert at the Newport Folk Festival, Bob Dylan went back into the studio to start working on a new album.

The session took place at the same studio in New York where he recorded Highway 61 Revisited -- Studio A, Columbia Recording Studio, 799 Seventh Avenue.

Dylan and The Hawks, along with producer Bob Johnston, recorded five tracks during the October 5th session: "Medicine Sunday", "Jet Pilot", "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window", "I Wanna Be Your Lover" and an instrumental track.
