May 24, 1965 - Tom Jones' debut album, Along Came Jones, was released via Decca records.

The album contained mega-hit "It's Not Unusual", written for Jones by Gordon Mills and Les Reed. The song reached number 10 on the Billboard charts, leading to a reissue of an abridged Along Came Jones under the title It's Not Unusual in July, 1965.
