New Jimmy Reed Album

May 17, 1965 - Jimmy Reed's The Legend - The Man was released via Vee Jay records. The album was later reissued by Collectables in the year 2000.

The Legend - The Man contains many Reed classics, including "Baby What You Want Me To Do", and "Big Boss Man". On top of the songs themselves, the reissue also contains short and often compelling interview sections with Reed at the beginning of each track, in which, he attempts to explain how a "shakeout man in the foundry working in 118 degree heat" became an iconic bluesman.
