Paul doesn't like latest Beatles single, 'Ticket To Ride'.

On May 10th 1965, The Beatles arrived at the Savoy Hotel, in London, to meet Bob Dylan. Dylan was there preparing for his performance at The Royal Albert Hall later that evening. Apparently, the four turned up at the hotel and went straight to the restaurant to order porridge and pea sandwiches.

Whilst at the hotel, the group spoke to Norman Jopling from the Record Mirror about their latest song, 'Help!'. Paul sang their new song to Jopling, singing each vocal part, including the backing vocals.

"Can't say I liked 'Ticket' much. But this new one is – in my opinion – good. I hope I don't sound big-headed. But I like it. It's certainly the fastest record we've made and it's very different. It's a bit like the middle eight in 'It Won't Be Long'. I think that John and I are writing different sorts of songs to what we were a couple of years back. I can't say whether they're better or worse but they're certainly different. And that is OK by us because we wouldn't want to stand still, to stagnate musically."

'Help!' was recorded on April 13th and released as a single on July 19th, 1965.
