The Turtles cover Dylan & Barry McGuire on debut LP
October, 1965 - 50 Years Ago this month, Los Angeles pop group The Turtles released their album It Ain't Me Babe on the White Whale Record label. The album included three Dylan covers including "It Ain't Me Babe", "Like A Rolling Stone" and "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" as well a cover of Barry McGuire's recently released "Eve Of Destruction."
Johnny Cash had also recently released an album featuring several Dylan covers, including "It Ain't Me Babe." Read a review of Cash's Orange Blossom Special here.
